This lesson (and related slides) represents a general introductions to the Aegean glyptic.
The aim is to offer, first, a general outline about materials, shapes, techniques and decorative motifs used in minoan and mycenanean seal productions during the Bronze Age.
In addition to this, the use of seals in the palatial administrations is taken into account: the sealing practice, in fact, is widely attested in many sealing deposits both in Minoan Crete and on the Mycenaean Greece from the Ancient to the Late Bronze Age.
