We are used to accord a great trust in documentation photography of material Cultural Heritage, but every picture can be very misleading, if it’s not ruled by clear choices.
The photography level of confidence is analysed for creating your own decisional workflow to avoid common errors and to improve the quality of documentation photography.
As conclusion, 3D “structure from motion” photogrammetry is introduced as possible way to create a more accurate documentation even on excavation field. The photogrammetric workflow applied to sixteen Cypriot marks for the Musint Project, coordinated by prof.ssa Jasink, is shown as example. Texts are in Italian.
